Butuan City | February 16, 2024 — The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) proudly received recognition during the Caraga Tourism Stakeholders’ Summit held at the Watergate Hotel Pavilion.
Organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT), the summit celebrated institutions and individuals who have made meaningful contributions to Caraga’s tourism sector. ASSCAT was lauded for its impactful efforts in promoting the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE)—an initiative that elevates the quality of service and hospitality through cultural pride and customer care.
Representing the college at the awarding ceremony was Mr. Freddie Valderama, SPAG Adviser and Artistic Choreographer of ASSCAT. His leadership and creativity continue to bring visibility to the region’s rich culture and talent.
Further amplifying the celebration, the ASSCAT Saliao Performing Arts Group captivated the audience with a dynamic Manabo cultural performance, showcasing the college’s commitment to preserving indigenous traditions and contributing to tourism through arts and education.
