With shovels in hand and muddy shoes to show for it, the ASSCAT community came together to plant over 500 tree seedlings across the Main Campus grounds—an early morning effort filled with teamwork, purpose, and plenty of heart.
This tree-growing activity was part of the college’s 29th Paghimugso—Charter Day celebration, and it wasn’t just symbolic. It was a strong and shared commitment to protect and restore the environment, one seedling at a time.
Students from different Registered Student Organizations joined faculty, staff, alumni, and partners from across the province in planting native and fruit-bearing trees. ASSCAT teamed up with groups like CENRO Bunawan, DA Tagbina and Trento, PNP Bunawan, BFP Bunawan, and several internal offices and associations—making the event not just a campus activity, but a true community effort.
For ASSCAT, it wasn’t just about the number of trees—it was about growing a culture of care for the land we learn from and live on.
And as the sun rose over the freshly planted trees, so did a renewed hope that these young roots will grow strong, just like the institution they were planted for.
