Today, November 27, 2024, officials from the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) and the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS) met with the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) leadership today.

 

The DA-BAR delegation, led by Director Dr. Junel B. Soriano, included key representatives like Ms. Adriel C. Abando – Program Development Division Staff, Ms. Lyn D. Pardilla – Operation Division Staff, Geovanie Jabagat – Senior Science Research Specialist, with the assistance of Armando G. Valiente – Provincial Agriculturist, Julius C. Quijada – Sr. Agriculturist and the PGAS Research Project Staffs from Provincial Agriculture office.

 

ASSCAT was represented by College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension Affairs Dr. Fernando Marzo Jr., and faculty researchers.

 

The agenda included updates on ongoing DA-BAR-funded projects and discussions on future initiatives aimed at empowering farmers and fostering agricultural resilience.

 

This collaborative effort intensify the shared commitment to research and development in the agricultural sector, benefiting farmers and communities in Agusan del Sur.
