Bunawan, Agusan del Sur — June 27, 2024
The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) marked a significant milestone for its graduating students as it held the Baccalaureate Mass, Hooding, and Awarding Ceremony for Punhik Batch 2024 at the ASSCAT Sports and Socio-Cultural Center.
The solemn Baccalaureate Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose Paul G. Pueblos, setting the tone for a day filled with gratitude, reflection, and celebration.
Serving as Guest of Honor and Speaker was Dr. Johnvie Goloran, Research Fellow of the Soil Health and Plant Nutrition Biogeochemistry Group at the Australian Rivers Institute, Griffith University, Australia. In his address, Dr. Goloran inspired the graduates with insights drawn from his professional journey and reminded them of the responsibility that comes with academic achievement.
The ceremony gathered the full ASSCAT community, including members of the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, families, and graduating students. Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, College President, led the academic procession and shared a heartfelt message to the graduating class. She was joined by the institution’s Vice Presidents, Directors, Deans, and Program Chairs in honoring the graduates.
The event served not only as a culmination of the students’ academic journey but also as a celebration of their resilience, growth, and dedication.
The celebration continues on June 28, 2024, with the much-anticipated 29th Commencement Exercises, where graduates will officially receive their degrees.
Congratulations, Punhik Batch 2024!
