In the Oral Research Presentation (Professional Category), faculty member John Paul A. Camino was awarded Best Presenter for his research on the โIn Vitro Evaluation of Antimitotic Potential of Musa Acuminata Peel Extracts Using Onion Root Tips.โ His work reflects the ongoing exploration of natural resources for potential health applications.

Meanwhile, in the 3-Minute Pitch to Policymakers, Sir Carl Kenneth Navarro placed 3rd with his timely and relevant presentation, โClean Seas, Healthy Fish, and Healthy People: Battling Microplastic Pollution in Butuan Bay.โ

ASSCAT CAS students also actively participated, showcasing their commitment to research and innovation. BS Biology students Keneth John Burdeos and Felimon Daga-ang presented their work in the Oral Research Presentation. Diana Rose Funticha, Mary Grace Ranido, and Mylene Jardin joined the Poster Research Competition, while Christel Donaire, Jirehbel Torregoza, and Catherine Baluran took part in the Health Technology Pitch, sharing ideas that connect technology with pressing health needs.
