A new set of ASSCAT student leaders officially took their oath of office today, November 14, 2024, at the ASSCAT Sports and Socio-Cultural Center. The ceremony, officiated by College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, welcomed Hon. Johanter Helarion from the College of Agriculture as the new ASSCAT-Supreme Student Government (SSG) President. Helarion, along with the newly elected senators, student organization leaders, and college and department representatives, pledged to serve ASSCATโ€™s student body with accountability and commitment.

Outgoing SSG President Hon. Justene Mae Dela Peรฑa expressed appreciation to the ASSCAT community and administration as she symbolically handed over the “key of responsibility” to Helarion, marking a smooth transition in leadership.

Dr. Capistrano, together with Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Janice S. Dini-ay, voiced their optimism about the new administrationโ€™s potential to lead and foster active student engagement.
Prior to the oath-taking, the newly elected leaders participated in a series of leadership training workshops designed to prepare them for their roles. These sessions focused on practical skills to aid the leaders in their responsibilities, ensuring they are ready to address campus needs and promote a productive academic environment.
