The middle to top management of Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) recently participated in an insightful refresher training on Republic Act No. 9184, the Government Procurement Reform Act, and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations. The event was held from May 22-24, 2024, at the ICT Function Hall, Digital Transformation Center.
Organized by the Procurement Management Office, the training featured prominent speakers from the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB), including Ms. Leminda L. Noval, Ms. Adolfa A. Creayla, CPA, and Atty. Anthony P. Vitor. The speakers provided comprehensive insights into adhering to legal standards and best practices in government procurement.
College President Joy C. Capistrano, alongside the Vice Presidents, graced the event, underscoring the administration’s commitment to maintaining transparency and efficiency in procurement processes.
The training served as a valuable opportunity for ASSCAT’s management team to update their knowledge and skills, ensuring that the college’s procurement activities remain aligned with the current legal framework and best practices.
