The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) proudly held its 29th Commencement Exercises today at the ASSCAT Sports and Socio-Cultural Center, celebrating the achievements of the Punhik Class of 2024.

This year’s ceremony was graced virtually by Dr. Marita R. Canapi, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Chairperson of the ASSCAT Board of Trustees, who delivered a stirring keynote message. In her address, Dr. Canapi emphasized the value of access, quality, and competitiveness in higher education, calling on graduates to become trailblazers of innovation and agents of positive change in their communities.

A total of 1,091 graduates were conferred degrees and certificates during the program, which carried the theme:
“Harnessing Innovation and Empowering the Future of ASSCAT Graduates.”

Leading the academic community during the ceremony was College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, alongside Vice Presidents, Directors, Deans, faculty, and staff. The event underscored ASSCAT’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of research, leadership, and innovation.

The program was filled with pride and joy as graduates crossed the stage, cheered on by their families, friends, and mentors who supported them throughout their academic journey.
