The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) was honored at the Year-End Conference of Caraga HEI Presidents and Heads, held on December 18, 2024, in Butuan City. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) presented ASSCAT with several accolades for its significant contributions to the higher education sector in the region.

ASSCAT was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for its invaluable role in helping meet the 2024 targets and mandates aligned with the five major pillars of the CHED Strategic Plan 2023-2028: Access & Success; Quality & Excellence; Internationalization; Social Responsibility; and Governance & Management.

The college also received a Certificate of Commendation for its outstanding support and contribution to the success of the Philippine ROTC Games 2024 National Championships held on August 18-24, 2024, at Cavite State University. This year’s theme was “Husay ng ROTC, Husay ng Kabataan.”

A Plaque of Recognition – MALAKAS MAPAGMAHAL SA BAYAN – was also awarded to ASSCAT for its exemplary performance from June 2023 to November 2024 in various areas, including Sports & Literary Competitions, Research, Extension, Innovation, and Quality Assurance.

Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, ASSCAT President, expressed heartfelt gratitude upon receiving the honors: “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students. It’s a collective effort—one that is driven by a shared commitment to excellence and service to our community.”
