As part of the National Women’s Month Celebration, the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT), through its ASSCAT GAD Focal Point System, hosts the Joyful Cup: Queens of the Court Tennis Tournament today, March 15, 2025, at the CEIT Covered Court, ASSCAT Main Campus.

 

The tournament brings together empowered women from various municipalities across Agusan del Sur, along with men who advocate for gender equality. Some participants have even traveled from neighboring Surigao del Sur, demonstrating the widespread support for women’s empowerment.

 

Beyond showcasing skill, endurance, and strategy on the court, today’s event is even more special as we celebrate the birthday of College President Joy C. Capistrano, a dedicated champion of gender and development initiatives.

 

With every serve, volley, and rally, these athletes reinforce the message that empowerment knows no boundaries—on or off the court.
