Rain couldnโt dampen the excitement as the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) officially kicked off its 30th Charter Celebration, fondly called โPaghimugso,โ on January 27, 2025, at the ASSCAT Oval. Themed โASSCAT at 30: Celebrating Growth, Sustaining Agriculture, and Propelling Innovation,โ the event marks the start of a year-long series of activities in honor of three decades of excellence and service.
College President Joy C. Capistrano, together with the Vice Presidents, led the ceremonial launch, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the past and present faculty, staff, stakeholders, and partners whose dedication has shaped ASSCATโs journey. The rain, far from being a hindrance, was embraced as a symbol of abundant blessings, making the celebration even more meaningful.
The event also featured the SUGAKOD 2025, a vibrant welcome for Second Semester students. Spearheaded by the Supreme Student Government under the leadership of SSG President Hon. Johanter Helarion, this tradition marked the dual celebration of both the new semester and the kickoff of the institutionโs 30th Charter Anniversary.
As ASSCAT continues to ascend to new heights, everyone is invited to participate in the upcoming events leading to the Foundation Day on March 1, 2025. Letโs celebrate the milestones and innovations that define ASSCATโs story and look forward to even greater achievements in the years ahead.
