During today’s regular Monday flag-raising ceremony, Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) held a solemn moment of prayer for the victims of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine. The flag was hoisted at half-mast in observance of the National Day of Mourning, honoring those who lost their lives in the recent calamity. College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano joined the ceremony, which was sponsored by the Legal Unit and Haynayanista Student Organization.

In welcoming students back from their academic break, ASSCAT expressed gratitude for the start of a new week—a fresh opportunity to grind harder, toil better, and serve the community with dedication. Embracing public service as its mission, ASSCAT aims to move forward with resilience and purpose, inspired by the strength of those around them.

Thank God it’s Monday!
