On August 14, 2024, Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) and Visayas State University (VSU) formalized their commitment to collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the VSU campus in Baybay, Leyte. The agreement sets the stage for joint initiatives aimed at boosting academic programs and fostering community engagement.

 

ASSCAT President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano and VSU President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes led the signing ceremony, which was also attended by Sorsogon State University President Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus and Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, President of Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology.

 

The partnership focuses on research collaboration, faculty and student exchanges, and shared community projects. It also emphasizes the mutual sharing of resources and expertise, with both institutions eager to contribute to the educational and economic development of their respective regions.
