Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT), led by President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, presented its 2025 budget proposal at the Batasang Pambansa Complex, receiving key support from Cong. Eddiebong Plaza and Cong. Alfel Bascug during the deliberations on the proposed National Budget.

 

Cong. Plaza ensured that funding for ASSCAT’s soil science research remained intact, while Cong. Bascug oversaw the progress of ongoing 2024 infrastructure projects. Both emphasized the need to prioritize the hiring of additional teaching staff, a critical step for the institution’s transition to university status.

 

With the guidance of CHED Commissioner Dr. Marita Rana Canapi, ASSCAT continues its commitment to high-quality education, strengthening its programs in agriculture and soil science to empower both students and faculty.
