Mangadlao, a faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences, secured 3rd place in the 2024 3-Minute Pitch to Policymakers Competition. Her pitch, titled “Clear Waters, Cloudy Dangers: A Call to Action in Agusan del Sur,” brought attention to the critical environmental challenges in the region.

Ms. Mangadlao, accompanied by Prof. Vivian C. Peligro, the CHRDC ASSCAT Focal Person, represented the Caraga region at the event, which was held during the 17th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week at the Las Nieves Hall, Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City. Her compelling presentation highlighted the urgent need for action to protect Agusan del Surโ€™s water resources, earning her a place on the podium among the countryโ€™s top researchers.
