In celebration of Paghimugso 2025: ASSCAT’s 30th Charter Anniversary, today’s Partners Forum convened faculty, staff, students, farmers, and institutional partners from various sectors at the ASSCAT Sports and Socio-Cultural Center for in-depth discussions on soil health, sustainable food production, and ethical digital engagement.

Agrldeya: Lupa, Pagkain, at Agrikultura featured expert talks highlighting the crucial role of sustainable agriculture and ethical digital practices in achieving global development goals.

Lupa – Dr. Johnvie Goloran, Senior Research Fellow at Griffith University, Australia, emphasized how soil health is the foundation of food security and climate resilience.
Pagkain – Asst. Prof. Cherie Dela Peña of ASSCAT tackled food production strategies, highlighting sustainable methods to support local farmers and ensure food security.
Digital Responsibility – Atty. Daniel Diaz, Dean of the College of Law at North Eastern Mindanao State University, discussed social media etiquette for government employees, emphasizing professionalism, ethical engagement, and responsible communication.

These discussions reinforced ASSCAT’s commitment to sustainable development, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 15 (Life on Land), which advocates for sustainable land use and combating soil degradation; SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), which promotes resilient agricultural practices for food security; and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), which underscores ethical governance and transparency in digital spaces.

Each session concluded with an open forum, where participants exchanged insights and explored ways to integrate these discussions into ASSCAT’s mission of sustaining agriculture and driving innovation.

As ASSCAT celebrates three decades since its founding, marked by Paghimugso, the institution remains steadfast in its commitment to growth, transformation, and service to the community. This year’s celebration reaffirms its mission to sustain agriculture, empower stakeholders, and propel innovation for the years ahead.
