Approved per BOT Resolution No. 22-144, a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum on Understanding (MOU) by and between Mindanao State University-Naawan (MSUN) and Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) was held on November 14, 2022, at Luxxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The MOU was signed by MSUN Chancellor, Dr. Elnor C. Roa and ASSCAT President, Dr. Joy C. Capistrano. It was witnessed by Hon. Ronnie Azura, ASSCAT BOT Member; Hon. Justice James L. Cundangan, OSG Assistant Solicitor General; Ms. Ruth S. Desamparo, ASSCAT VP for Administration and Finance; and key personnel from MSUN.

Moreover, the MOU Signing was graced by CHED Commissioner, Hon. Jo Mark M. Libre, wherein he delivered a message of commitment supporting the collaboration of Philippine HEIs.

The purpose of the MOU is to develop research and extension cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity and to promote relations and mutual understanding between both institutions.
