Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano delivered her 5th State of the College Address (SOCA) on March 1, 2025, reflecting on the institution’s milestones, challenges, and aspirations.
She highlighted ASSCAT’s expanding research efforts, strengthened industry partnerships, and commitment to inclusive education—key drivers in advancing science and innovation for sustainable agriculture. She also emphasized the collective achievements that have shaped ASSCAT’s impact on education, research, and community development.
Dr. Capistrano delivered her address during ASSCAT’s 30th Charter Anniversary celebration, Paghimugso, which honored three decades of growth, resilience, and innovation. The event brought together faculty, staff, students, alumni, retirees, and partners in a meaningful gathering.
As ASSCAT mark this milestone, we recognize the previous and current visionary leaders, dedicated faculty and staff, resilient students and alumni, and invaluable partners who have shaped ASSCAT’s journey. The past 30 years reflect a legacy of hard work and collaboration—a foundation on which we continue to build.
Moving forward, ASSCAT calls on all stakeholders to keep working with us in transforming lives and building the nation—realizing our vision, living our mission, and upholding the values that define us!
