ASSCAT Hosts CCD for Benchmarking Visit, Strengthens Partnerships for Quality Education

Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) warmly welcomed delegates from the City College of Davao (CCD) on September 19, 2025, for a benchmarking visit held at the QAM Function Hall. The visit highlighted ASSCAT’s institutional practices, operational systems, and academic innovations that define its excellence in higher education.

In her welcome address, College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano underscored the importance of knowledge-sharing and strategic partnerships in driving innovation and ensuring that education remains responsive to the evolving needs of society.

The CCD delegation, led by Prof. Fe A. EdD, Linkages Coordinator, and Dr. Jamaico C. Magayo, Vice President for Administration, engaged in institutional presentations and a focused group discussion that showcased ASSCAT’s best practices in instruction, administration, and research-extension. These sessions provided CCD with actionable models for enhancing governance, instructional delivery, and community engagement.

Dr. Ismael W. Baog, CCD OSAS/Admission Director, expressed appreciation for ASSCAT’s hospitality and the valuable insights shared during the visit.

The activity reflects ASSCAT’s alignment with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—underscoring the institution’s commitment to shared growth, academic excellence, and nation-building through higher education.
