ASSCAT Gathers Stakeholders to Shape Community-Driven Programs, Signs New Collaboration Agreements

To strengthen its partnerships and better respond to the needs of its stakeholders, the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) held a Stakeholders’ Forum on July 18, 2025, at the DTC Function Hall, Main Campus.

Organized by the Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension Affairs (RIDEA), the forum brought together representatives from national agencies, local government units, schools, and other partner institutions.

The event served as more than just a venue for presenting ASSCAT’s programs. It was an opportunity to listen directly to the communities, hear their concerns, and identify areas where the college’s research and extension efforts can make the most impact. The discussions focused on practical needs in agriculture, education, innovation, and rural development—helping the institution align its priorities with the realities on the ground.

College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano and Vice President for RIDE Affairs Dr. Ferdinand A. Dumalagan led the forum, emphasizing the importance of shared accountability and collaboration in delivering responsive and inclusive programs.

The event also featured a ceremonial signing of Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with key partners, formalizing joint efforts in support of the RIDE framework and reinforcing the college’s commitment to meaningful engagement beyond the campus.

By listening first, and responding with purpose, ASSCAT continues to evolve as a partner institution—supporting improved access to quality education, fostering innovation in local industries, and building strong, lasting partnerships for community development.
