ASSCAT Drives Progress in Cacao and Rubber R&D Projects

The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) continues to make significant strides in agricultural research and development, with a focus on enhancing cacao and rubber production. On September 4, 2024, an M&E and field visit was conducted for two DOST-PCAARRD funded projects: “Yield and Bean Quality Evaluation of Cacao in Type II and Type III Agro-Climatic Zones in Northern and Southern Mindanao” and “Field Verification of Innovative Technologies on Rubber Farming System.”

These projects, led by ASSCAT Vice President for Research, Innovation, Development and Extension, Dr. Fernando L. Marzo, Jr., aim to establish demonstration farms and boost the productivity of these key commodities across Mindanao.
