The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology ASSCAT officially opened PASIGARBO 2025 on November 17, 2025, celebrating the fusion of art, intellect, and strength in a vibrant showcase of school pride and unity. True to its theme Sining, Talino, at Lakas Iisang Diwa, Iisang Tagumpay, the event highlighted the collective talent, creativity, and determination of the ASSCAT community.

The opening day began with a Grand Parade, featuring athletes, performers, and delegates from all colleges, demonstrating pride, teamwork, and enthusiasm. This was followed by the Saludo, where loud cheers and creative chants echoed the colleges’ collective spirit and competitive energy.

The Torch and Caldron Lighting, led by ASSCAT President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, symbolized the flame of unity and determination, marking the official start of PASIGARBO 2025. The ceremony continued with the Oath of Sportsmanship, led by the MASTS 2025 medalists, reinforcing values of fairness, discipline, and honor in all competitions.

Creativity and expression shone during the Mascot Showdown, where each college presented its official mascot through imaginative performances, earning thunderous applause from the audience. Cultural pride was highlighted in Bayle sa Kalye, a dance exhibition honoring Manobo traditions, vibrant costumes, and storytelling rooted in local heritage.

The evening also featured the Mr. and Ms. Pasigarbo 2025 competition, where contestants exhibited intelligence, poise, and confidence. Both titles were claimed by the College of Engineering and Industrial Technology Blazing Cougars, eliciting loud cheers from supporters.

The night culminated in a Battle of the Bands, showcasing student musicians’ performance, creativity, and teamwork.

With a successful opening that highlighted Sining, Talino, at Lakas, PASIGARBO 2025 promises more thrilling events and competitions until November 21, 2025, uniting the ASSCAT community in one shared spirit Iisang Diwa, Iisang Tagumpay.
