Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) proudly bagged 1st Place in the ASEAN Cultural Attire Competition during the 2025 ASEAN Month Culmination held on August 28, 2025, in Butuan City, organized by the Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Regional Office.

Representing ASSCAT were students Quirt John Altizo and Karen A. Perez, who showcased the traditional attire of Malaysia, earning admiration for their authenticity, creativity, and cultural representation.

This achievement was made possible through the support of the Socio-Cultural and Arts Chairperson, Mr. Quem B. Miolata, and the International Relations and External Linkages Affairs Office headed by Dr. Vivian C. Peligro, with the full encouragement of College President, Dr. Joy C. Capistrano.

ASSCAT’s win highlights the institution’s commitment to promoting cultural appreciation, diversity, and international understanding as it continues to engage in regional and global academic and cultural exchanges.
