ASSCAT Advances Toward Global Recognition with Intensive Training on Scopus-Standard Research Publishing

In its continuous push for global research impact and institutional excellence, The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) successfully concluded its two-day training workshop titled β€œπ˜™π˜ͺ𝘴π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜›π˜©π˜³π˜°π˜Άπ˜¨π˜© 𝘡𝘩𝘦 π˜™π˜’π˜―π˜¬π˜΄: 𝘚𝘡𝘳𝘒𝘡𝘦𝘨π˜ͺ𝘀 π˜—π˜’π˜΅π˜©π˜Έπ˜’π˜Ίπ˜΄ 𝘡𝘰 𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘒𝘭 𝘜𝘯π˜ͺ𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴π˜ͺ𝘡𝘺 π˜™π˜¦π˜€π˜°π˜¨π˜―π˜ͺ𝘡π˜ͺ𝘰𝘯 𝘒𝘯π˜₯ 𝘚𝘀𝘰𝘱𝘢𝘴 π˜šπ˜Άπ˜€π˜€π˜¦π˜΄π˜΄β€, held on July 7–8, 2025 at DTC Function Hall, ASSCAT Main Campus.

Featuring expert-led sessions from respected figures in the academic and research community, the training covered essential aspects of scholarly publishing, from refining research questions to selecting reputable journals, understanding editorial expectations, and upholding research ethics.

Among the speakers were Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III, a globally recognized health scholar and journal editor; Mr. Christian Joseph Ong, a research productivity and citation analytics expert; and Mr. Jerico Ogaya, an experienced researcher and publication strategist.
This intensive workshop aimed to capacitate faculty members in producing quality research aligned with global publishing standards, particularly those required by Scopus-indexed journals. This forms part of ASSCAT’s strategic efforts to enhance its global visibility and elevate its position within the international academic community.

With the support of College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, along with Vice President for Research, Innovation, Development and Extension Affairs Dr. Ferdinand A. Dumalagan, and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance Dr. Carmelo S. Llanto, ASSCAT continues to strengthen its commitment to quality, innovation, and meaningful contribution to research and education.
