The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) ROTC Unit continues to rise, marking a new chapter of excellence in the recently concluded Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) held on May 9, 2025, with the awarding ceremony held on June 20, 2025, at Caraga State University – Cabadbaran Campus.

From a performance rating of 86.86% in 2023, to 90.85% in 2024, the ASSCAT ROTC Unit reached new heights in 2025 with an impressive 𝟵𝟰.𝟰𝟰%—a testament to its consistent growth, discipline, and pursuit of excellence.

The unit was recognized as 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 with a 𝟵𝟰.𝟰𝟰% 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. It also emerged as 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 with a score of 𝟵𝟯.𝟱%—a historic first for ASSCAT, as the ROTC Unit now advances to the national level.

These accomplishments reflect the discipline, dedication, and teamwork of the ASSCAT ROTC cadets and their committed mentors. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Ms. Liezl S. Lagman, NSTP Coordinator; Ms. Joan S. Ayala, NSTP Staff; Mr. Brix Alexis T. Alabat, ROTC Coordinator; MAJ DODGE IAN O ARANGO (MI) PA, ASSCAT ROTC Unit Commandant; and the entire 1502 Community Defense Center, for their tireless work in guiding the unit toward this milestone.

This triumph would not have been possible without the steadfast support of our College President, Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, and the College Vice Presidents: VP Carmelo S. Llanto for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance; VP Janice S. Dini-ay for Administration, Finance, and Planning; and VP Ferdinand A. Dumalagan for Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension. We also acknowledge the valuable encouragement of the deans, faculty, and staff of ASSCAT.

More than a celebration of achievement, this milestone affirms the ROTC Unit’s commitment to nation-building and to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It upholds SDG 4 – Quality Education by instilling values of discipline and service; SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by promoting responsible citizenship; and SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being by emphasizing physical fitness and resilience.

This proud moment brings honor to the entire ASSCAT community.
