The event, aimed at promoting indigenous languages for inclusive diversity, saw a wide array of insightful discussions and engagement from researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policymakers.
One of the notable features of the day was the series of plenary sessions and research presentations, covering various aspects of language preservation and promotion. Parallel sessions, crucial for accommodating the diverse range of topics, were effectively moderated by faculty members from the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT). Their adept handling ensured smooth transitions and productive discussions throughout the day.
The conference, co-organized by CSU, Talaytayan Multilingual Education Inc., ASSCAT, Philippine Normal University, and Tebtebba Foundation, is scheduled to continue until February 25. This collaborative effort underscores the shared commitment to safeguarding indigenous languages and advancing linguistic diversity on a global scale.
