The Commission on Audit (COA), through its State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Audit Team R13-01, conducted an Exit Conference with the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) on March 19, 2025, presenting the audit results and technical recommendations for Fiscal Year 2024.
Covering key areas such as financial transactions, budget utilization, procurement, asset management, internal controls, and program implementation, the audit serves as a vital process in ensuring transparency, compliance, and responsible resource management within ASSCAT. The exit conference provided an opportunity for COA to formally discuss its technical recommendations to further strengthen financial accountability and institutional efficiency.
Representing COA were Mr. Anbert Angelo C. Cayna, OIC-Audit Team Leader; Ms. Ethel L. Go-Nacorda, State Auditor V and Supervising Auditor; and Audit Team Members Ms. Cathy Marie D. Sumog-oy and Ms. Aireem Joy T. Tapon.
On ASSCAT’s side, College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano led the discussions, joined by Vice Presidents, the Finance Department, Legal Officer, and other key resource persons.
