ASSCAT students are embracing innovation and entrepreneurship through ABRInture: A Journey Towards Business Opportunities, held on October 21-22, 2024. This two-day event encouraged creative problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking, featuring real-world challenges and collaborative workshops.

Kicking off the event were inspiring messages from Dr. Fernando L. Marzo Jr., Vice President for RIDEA, and Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, College President, who highlighted the critical role of innovation in today’s rapidly evolving world.

Led by Engr. Jack O. Bertulfo, TBI Manager under the supervision of Dr. Ferdinand A. Dumalagan, Director of Innovation and Development, the event featured key speakers like Engr. Emman Lliam L. Prisco of DOST-CARAGA, who discussed the Innovation Ecosystem, and Engr. Dean Joshua Solis of DICT-CARAGA, who spoke on Caraga’s Startup Development and Acceleration Program. Day 1’s Reverse Pitching session saw students tackle challenges presented by representatives from government agencies and local sectors.

Day 2 featured a hands-on Design Thinking & Ideation Workshop, where students collaborated to develop innovative solutions. This workshop prepared them for the Pitching Competition on October 29.

ABRInture has ignited a spirit of entrepreneurship among ASSCAT students, equipping them with practical skills and inspiration to bring their ideas to life.

Stay tuned for the final competition on October 29, where the top ideas will be pitched and celebrated!
