The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) released ₱7,500 stipends to 132 undergraduate students under the Tulong Dunong Program – State Universities and Colleges (TDP-SUCs) payout held on September 19 at the ASSCAT Cashier’s Office.

Funded through the ₱1,000,000 allocation for Academic Year 2024–2025 secured via the office of Senator Loren Legarda, the one-time grant supports financially challenged students in State Universities and Colleges nationwide.

ASSCAT officials said the assistance will help students manage essential school expenses and, for graduating scholars, cover research-related costs. They added that this initiative contributes to broader development efforts by promoting inclusive and equitable quality education—aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals on education and reducing inequalities.

Students expressed appreciation for the support, noting that it provides timely relief and strengthens their resolve to complete their degrees and contribute to their communities.
