Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) has once again demonstrated its firm commitment to quality and continual improvement as SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. recommended the College for ISO 9001:2015 certification maintenance after a comprehensive two-day audit held on October 23–24, 2025.

Auditor Dr. Catherine Talao-Sigua noted positive practices across several areas of operation, reaffirming ASSCAT’s adherence to its core values of Accountability, Responsiveness, Innovativeness, Selflessness, and Excellence (ARISE).

The recommendation signifies that ASSCAT’s quality management systems remain compliant with international standards—ensuring efficient processes, improved services, and consistent delivery of quality education. It also supports the College’s ongoing efforts toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano extended her gratitude to all process owners and the Quality Management Center, led by Director Shiela G. Reyes and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance Dr. Carmelo S. Llanto, for their dedication and teamwork.

“This recognition reflects the shared effort of everyone in the College who continues to uphold a culture of excellence and accountability,” Dr. Capistrano said.

With the ISO 9001:2015 recertification recommendation, ASSCAT continues to ARISE — ensuring quality, consistency, and continuous growth in service to its stakeholders.
