Today, August 12, 2024, marks the official start of the first semester of A.Y. 2024-2025 at Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT). The vibrant and warm welcome began with a College Orientation held at the ASSCAT Sports and Socio-Cultural Center.

 

Students were greeted with a symbolic ceremonial walk through the newly inaugurated iconic gate, signifying a fresh beginning for freshmen and a continued journey for returning second to fourth-year students.

 

College President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, alongside the Vice Presidents, Deans, faculty and staff, led the welcoming ceremonies, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to supporting and valuing each student. Throughout the day, various offices and units conducted Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns to provide students with essential insights into the services, programs, developments, and policies that will guide them throughout the academic year.

 

In collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, the Supreme Student Government organized “𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙆𝘼𝘿𝘼 2024,” an interactive event that engaged students with the Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

 

As the semester begins, ASSCAT stands ready to support its students in a journey filled with growth, learning, and opportunities.
